Day 30 #blogyourbrand snow day   What a great 30 days we have had together. Today we had a snow day! Our area school never closes , so the kids were excited. I pretty much cleaned and organized most of day, getting ready for Thanksgiving. I started the day off  by making Milk Toast. Milk toast is something my great grandmother made her kids and the recipe has been passed down the line. It is very simple and great for a cold winters morning. Things you need: Bread - I like oatmeal bread or potato bread for this Sugar and cinnamon mixed together. You will need a teaspoon per slice of breadtoast1 Butter - hey its southern! Milk Touch of vanilla Ground Nutmeg Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. While it is pre-heating you will butter the bread and sprinkle sugar cinnamon mixture on top. Place in the oven for 10-12 min just until the bread is toasted. toast While the bread is toasting heat milk on stove until it slightly boils and add vanilla. Set aside until the toast is ready. Next you will layer 2-3 pieces of your toast in a bowl.   toast2   Then gently pour hot milk over the top. I usually pour along the side of bowl so the cinnamon and sugar do not come off top of toast. toast3   Top with a dash of nutmeg and let sit for a few minutes.         toast4   The bread absorbs the warm milk. Eat with a spoon and enjoy! I just want to thank each and everyone of you for joining me during the challenge. I can not believe I actually made the 30 days of blogging. I am proud of myself. What did I get out of doing the challenge? I get a nifty badge to put on my blog. I know it does not seem like much, but to me it is such a reward to complete something I was terrified of.
