*For those of you that are wondering what the tour was all about here is a recap: We drove and taught on the east coast classes based off my book Make it Fizz and I am sharing the journey with you. Day 7 of blogging our journey We were up early and headed to Quakertown , Pa. Before we got there we stopped in Washington, DC. We took a picture in front of the White House and had lunch at a food truck in the park. We parked in a garage and could not figure how to pay for our space and went 3 min over and was charged 26.00!!! So needless to say I was salty. Next We headed to the Arlington Nation Cemetery and walked around for two hours or so... Wow talk about a humble experience. It was overwhelming the row, hills and streets of tombs that stretched across acres of land. We did not even see a quarter of it. We had about another 3 hour drive to Quakerton. We got there before dark and checked in our hotel. It was only a few blocks from where I would be teaching. The next morning we arrived at Candles and Supplies with a warm welcome. They had a sign all done up for me. We unloaded and set up for the classes I would be teaching the next day, We were done so early we had nothing to do , the owner Cindy told us where we could catch the train down to Philadelphia. So we drove 15 min to the station and got two tickets and headed to Philly. We got off the train and headed to Reading Terminal Market. I do not know why but it probably is my favorite market we went to on the trip. It was very busy and the hustle and bustle was actually kind of calming. Fresh donuts, fresh seafood, coffee, pastries, chocolates, soaps, spices and of course Philly cheese steak ! We had to plan this just right. We shared a cheese steak and a coffee, grabbed some cookies for Cindy's staff and shared a donut...... I know right share? When you travel for this long moderation is key. We left there after two hours and went to find the Liberty Bell and the U.S. Constitution. We took the free tour and learned so much. I felt at this point we were on a history tour. We walked the town and headed back to the train and got back to have dinner with Cindy. She is so kind and her staff is amazing and fun. I was excited to see they carried a lot of products that I buy. I even made a order and had it shipped back. The classes were full and the students were eager to learn. We had a full day of classes and they made so much stuff, everyone made fizzies and bubble bars. Thank you Cindy for having us, it was so amazing and we had a blast.
